The design of the APPS wall-mounted luminaire is based on the concept of “flying signs”. With only a single LED, two different types of lighting are achieved: the illumination of the sign itself and an additional soft perimetric light, which can be set to different colours. This creates a sign that appears to be floating in front of the wall and which discreetly integrates into the respective surroundings. As rooms and facilities are not permanently used for the same purpose, it is highly advantageous that the signs can be exchanged easily, without having to remove the installation frame from the wall.
