With its minimised thickness of 16.5 mm and reduced weight, the Asus ROG GX501 can be easily taken anywhere. When opened, a hinge system enlarges the special cooling module. The device has a solid metal chassis with a composition including magnalium to enhance both its appearance and functionality. The surface with the variously running hairline pattern is clearly split by a transverse line. The copper-coloured edges are applied to the aerolite-hued surface in a two-phase anodising process.
