The bottle label for this traditional alcoholic drink from Maotai Town references historical and cultural motifs from its city of origin. The typography and composition of the design is reminiscent of a classic old newspaper. The base of the bottle bears a snake totem, equally weighted with symbolism, as it recalls a legend of old. The letter M for Maotai is also given priority placing. When it is turned, it creates the Chinese character for mountain, which also refers to the origin of the drink’s ingredients.

With its simple aesthetic, the design of the Cunhuanxi Chinese Baijiu captures the cultural roots of the product in a focused and impressive manner.
