Sections of African grenadilla wood, typically discarded due to natural scarring, are carefully selected to create four clarinet models: Bark, Sapwood, Grain, and Kintsugi. Kintsugi is inspired by the traditional Japanese pottery repair technique of applying lacquer and gold to broken areas. In this way, otherwise discarded material is given new value, and its unique characteristics are poetically expressed.
