Gādo And Ken

Gādo, which means ‘guard’ in Japanese, combines a mask and a face shield to keep the mouth visible and improve human interaction. A simple mechanism slides up the shield to protect the eyes and expands the folded textile structure to cover the nose and mouth. An adjustable head strap with silicone pads ensure that the mask sits comfortably and securely. Ken, which means ‘sword’ in Japanese, is a portable and refillable sanitiser spray bottle that provides an instant solution when washing hands is not an option. Gādo and Ken’s entire concept provides both functionality and style for everyday life in Covid-19. Red Dot Award: Design Concept | Concept | Safety and Protection
