The system consists of two main components: an ergonomically designed navigation console and a compact robot. Together they form a transportable, integrated system that greatly simplifies set-up in the operating theatre. The navigation console houses a camera – the “eyes” of the robot – mounted on a counterbalanced arm. This solution enables smooth, effortless alignment and ensures precise positioning in the clinical workspace. Thanks to its compact design, the robot fits directly under the operating table. A low centre of gravity and motorised castors ensure tool-free, stable installation. Thanks to its mobility, the robot can manoeuvre flexibly around the patient’s head – a decisive advantage to reduce the risk of collisions and prioritise patient safety in the operating theatre. In addition to technical precision, particular emphasis was placed on intuitive operability. Complex functions are combined in such a way that they integrate seamlessly into clinical workflows. Every design solution, from the motorised brake to the ergonomics of the console, was developed in close collaboration with clinical staff and continuously refined.
