Guardians of the Forest

The aim of this animal welfare project is to draw attention to endangered or extinct species endemic to Taiwan. The concept focuses on the Formosan sika deer, the Formosan landlocked salmon, the Formosan blue magpie and the Formosan clouded leopard. The animals are portrayed in a surrealistic style, detailing environmental threats. In this way, the impression is given that the animals act as a kind of vengeful gods who counterattack humanity. The catchy illustrations are suitable for use in animations, multimedia applications or on posters.
