The five 22-volt Hilti B Nuron lithium-ion batteries boast an impressive power output and capacity. As a result, the tools they power have the performance level of corded or petrol-powered tools. Equipped with an innovative new interface with four connectors, the batteries also feature sealed electronics, ensuring excellent protection against moisture and dust. External shock absorbers and a fibreglass housing provide improved drop protection. An onboard state-of-health feature enables the batteries to be monitored and subjected to comprehensive tests. The jury was particularly impressed by the “performance data and good compatibility” of the batteries.
