Hybrid Rebel

Revuelto (“rebellious”) - the first super sports V12 hybrid plug-in HPEV (High Performance Electrified Vehicle) from Lamborghini – is named after a Spanish fighting bull renowned in 1880 for several escapes from the bullring. The Lamborghini Revuelto is also a rebel – against everything that is commonly associated with electric cars. It combines the power of a newly developed 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine with three electric motors for a total output of 1,015 hp. The vehicle’s architecture and design language are equally innovative, characterised by formal clarity, technical expressiveness and aerodynamic precision. With its frameless doors and elongated proportions, the super sports car quotes design features from the brand’s previous V12 models, but translates them into a radically modern redesign. The fluidly sculpted body is characterised by clearly defined, Y-shaped light signatures, precisely milled air intakes and polygonal accents such as the hexagon exhaust tailpipes. Form and function merge seamlessly, as many exterior elements are also aerodynamically effective – from the roof shape to the carbon front splitter and the side fins to the flat, flow-optimised air intakes in front of the rear wheels and the actively adjustable rear spoiler. The result is an exterior that combines technological openness, performance and iconic paradigms in a new design perspective. The jury was impressed: “Even from a distance, the silhouette of the Revuelto is unmistakable. It remains true to the Lamborghini brand identity and at the same time shows new design approaches from every angle. Especially behind the rear wheel, it unfolds an open, almost sculptural design that not only visually surprises, but also follows aerodynamic requirements.” The cockpit of the Revuelto consistently transfers this design language to the interior. It follows the principle “Feel Like a Pilot” and focuses on a driver-orientated design. The interface design – internally referred to as “Pilot Interaction” – relies on a precise interplay of digital displays and high-quality physical controls to create an intuitive and consistent user experience across all of the brand’s models, even in the digital age. All in all, the Revuelto is not rebellious in every respect, but it is nevertheless a true rebel.
