“Simply a work of art,” concluded the jury when evaluating the Mac mini M4. As if its iconic form, precise finish and meticulous attention to every design detail weren’t already worthy of recognition, Apple’s latest innovation also impresses with a notable performance boost. Compared to the M1 model, the Mac mini M4 delivers up to 1.8 times faster CPU performance and 2.2 times faster GPU performance – all within a compact 5 × 5" body. The Pro version, powered by the M4 Pro chip, handles even more demanding workloads with ease. Apple Intelligence – the hotly anticipated AI feature – lives up to expectations. Fully integrated into the Mac, it processes all data on-device to safeguard user privacy at every step. For more complex requests, Apple Intelligence taps into end-to-end encrypted Private Cloud Compute: larger, server-based models running on Apple chips. The M4’s design is built around Apple silicon, offering users improved connectivity with ports on both the front and the back – and, for the first time, Thunderbolt 5 for faster data transfer speeds in the M4 Pro model. To achieve the desired compactness, Apple developed a new thermal architecture. Air flows through multiple internal layers and is expelled entirely through the underside. In terms of sustainability, Apple has taken another major leap forward. This is the first carbon-neutral Mac: greenhouse gas emissions from materials, manufacturing, transport and use have been significantly reduced. “The Mac mini M4 is minimalist and brilliantly engineered – nothing superfluous. The most innovative technology is presented here in an ultra-refined form. It’s a true Apple design icon,” the jury remarked, applauding this intelligent powerhouse.
