“A small and durable treasure chest with fine details that make unpacking an experience,” said a very impressed jury. The design of the “Mix wood package for Richard Wu Jewelry” is intended as a sustainable alternative to a traditional jewellery case made of leather or plastic. To this end, the box is assembled from recycled aluminium and small pieces of wood. The interior is also made of wood and incorporates a heavy-duty, suede-like material that is used in the furniture and automotive industries. A discreet rotary knob elegantly unlocks and closes the miniature box.
