Parasol

The Parasol is an acoustically effective LED pendant luminaire whose contours resemble those of an umbrella. The design concept permits installation as either single or multiple luminaires. Owing to the basic hexagonal form, several lights can be linked together in a honeycomb structure to provide extensive lighting and noise reduction for even large rooms. The jury was particularly fascinated by “the unique aesthetic of the stunning lamp shade”. The umbrella canopy is made of an acoustic fabric that is available in a variety of colours, consists of 50 per cent recycled materials and is itself recyclable.
