Petit Planet
Petit Planet is the kids’ division of the Hyundai department store, providing a brand experience for the company’s future customers. The name aims to convey a sense of the experiential space visited and enjoyed by children and families. The logo design benefits from the contrast between the bold letters and the narrow space between them. This feature of contrast is emphasised through the versatile use of graphic devices. The aim was to depict children’s infinite possibilities by using a graphic system that expands freely. Moreover, each character, reminiscent of aliens, represents children as an active subject, regardless of race and gender.
