The particularly lightweight Piuma sports sunglasses were developed to lighten the athlete's load – in the truest sense of the word – during their outdoor activities. Made of Grilamid and carbon fibres, the sunglasses boast a lightweight structure of only 16.8 grams, that not only prevents painful pressure points behind the ears and on the nose, but also is able to withstand heavy-duty use. Special photochromic polarised lenses fit securely into the minimalistic frame, offering clear vision in a variety of weather conditions. The curvature of the temples means that the glasses provide a secure fit when worn with almost any helmet. The jury highlighted the well-thought-out design, as well as the skilful use of the special combination of materials.
