Season and Solar Term Illustration for XICC

Against the backdrop of President Xi Jinping’s idea of a “community of human destiny”, a set of illustrations was developed to express the cultural orientation of Silk Road heritage and oriental customs. The aim is also to demonstrate the cultural confidence of Xian City in China. With the theme “spring, summer, autumn and winter”, the four illustrations depict the phenological symbols of the 24 solar terms as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity, as well as the symbols of cultural relics excavated in Shaanxi Province. Based on the principle of similarity in form or spirit, they are transformed in terms of literal understanding, expression of feelings and object-related aspirations.
