Hanwha is a global leader in total solar energy solutions with a business scope ranging from solar cells and modules to downstream solar solutions. Ever since the launch of a campaign to mark the 2019 World Environment Day, two of the company’s solar-powered boats have been in action on the Mekong River in Vietnam to remove floating waste and to draw attention to its high level of pollution. The boats collect 500 kg of waste from the river every day without emitting any greenhouse gases or pollutants. In this way, the campaign highlights an environmental issue while raising awareness for the brand and its orientation towards sustainability at the same time.
