Spiral Light

Inspired by a vintage timber basket from BLOND’s archive of artefacts, the design uses the lamp’s power cable as a construction mechanism to bind the outer shade and lamp tube in a low-fidelity way. Without any fixings, it allows for easy disassembly and repair. The cable essentially powers, suspends, and binds the lamp’s components, creating a harmonious object celebrating the cable’s structural capabilities.
