Temporary Shelter

TEMPORARY SHELTER is designed with simplicity of installation in mind. The shelters can be conveniently set up indoors or outdoors, each with a capacity of 2 to 3 people. The shelter is made with a waterproof canvas with a 'sunroof feature', which keeps the rain out but lets the light in. Part of the shelter is a waterproof but breathable fabric that provides ventilation and comfort. The idea is to create a little privacy while also providing the opportunity for a sense of community. To set up the shelters, plug in the safety pin, and it will automatically expand into shape. When not needed, each shelter can be collapsed into a box, and each box slotted and stacked between steel H-columns. This way of storing the shelters can also multi-task as mobile partitions while keeping retrieval of shelters easy as and when needed. Red Dot Award: Design Concept | Concept | Protection
