The New Door Gods
Many Chinese people do not have the habit of wearing face masks. This is particularly problematic during the influenza season, or most recently, the pandemic.
The New Door Gods is a modern interpretation of a traditional Chinese New Year custom, where people pray to paintings of ‘Door Gods’ for peace. These posters encourage people to practice good personal hygiene and wear masks to prevent infections spread by respiratory droplets.
