Recognising these functions, the Today washbasin was designed with a fluid shape reminiscent of water flowing down a river. At first glance, this washbasin impresses with an appearance of delicate and organic lines as well as gently shimmering surfaces. It represents a collection of deliberately refined yet plainly designed washbasins that stand out in their diversity. The aim of the design was to create a specific, new design idiom as well as a user-friendly functionality. An appealing and emotionalising form was to be created to establish a novel aesthetic in everyday life. Following a concept of particular suitability for everyday use by the average family, the design of this washbasin aims at reflecting typical values of a bathroom including the attributes of cleanliness and clearness, as well as emphasising a sense of fluidity. The implementation has managed to emerge as a symbiotic and, in its stringency, fascinating formal unity between sink and fitting. In the bathroom, it adopts a striking yet unobtrusive presence and establishes an impressive appearance infused with naturalness and functionality. Design thus becomes an embodiment of values and vision.
