Brand Design
Toronto Public Library Kids
This brand design for the Toronto Public Library children’s spaces and services aims to create a bold visual language that jumps out at kids across the institution’s 100 branches. The central idea is to provide a license to go explore all the library has to offer. The result, the “GO dot”, is a friendly green dot that can customise itself to any space, shape, occasion and need. It is both funny and serves as a visual marker that speaks to kids clearly without being patronising. Conceived as a mark that invites kids to play, it facilitates interactive experiences by letting them connect the dots for themselves.
