The 2012 Beetle presents itself as a bold, dynamic and masculine car. Adding length meant that the roof could be extended further, the front windscreen shifted back, and the rear section aligned to the contours of the original Beetle. The new focal point is the C pillar. All this gives the Beetle a powerful appearance heightened by a muscular tension. The cockpit is unique and designed with a passion for detail.

The new Beetle successfully combines past and present in a harmonious way: whereas its distinctive design is rooted in the present, the painted panel of the dashboard is reminiscent of the original Beetle.
