The Sharan’s functional body styling is characterised by clear, horizontal lines; it is fresh, yet certainly not only transiently fashionable. The aim of the design is rather to create, with its balanced proportions, an ideal basis for giving the body, with a minimum of lines, a highly energetic look. A smooth side profile proves to be one of the Sharan’s more distinctive design features. And in the brand-specific VW front design in particular – with its strong emphasis on horizontal elements and precisely defined geometry – the product family is clearly recognisable. The vehicle’s interior is spacious, so that passengers in the third row may also be conveniently seated. With the innovative “easy entry” design, the outer seats of the second row are easily folded or slid forwards in the optional 6- or 7-seat Sharan versions. This clears the way for access that is comfortable and easy on passengers’ joints and backs.
