Katrin de Louw
Katrin de Louw studied interior design at Detmold School for Architecture and Interior Design. Since 1997, she has been working as an independent interior designer and design manager in the furniture industry and for manufacturers of materials. In 2006, she instigated the “servicepoint A30” trend and event forum in East Westphalia, thereby setting up a nationally leading network of material manufacturers and suppliers to the furniture industry, that discusses innovative trends in furniture and interior design and provides information on topics that are of interest to the industry.
Katrin de Louw’s agency “TRENDFILTER – Designzukunft für Möbel und Materialien” (future of design of furniture and materials) advises global players from industry, trade and the retail sector including Abet Laminati, BASF, Continental Group, Europlac, Koelnmesse, SURTECO GROUP, Swiss Krono Group, Westag & Getalit and Windmöller Flooring. She is recognised as the leading trend expert for furniture, interiors and materials in German-speaking countries. She also works as a freelance author and provides comprehensive design consulting services together with her team of interior, product and graphic designers as well as marketing professionals.
