This special edition was created in order to celebrate 11 years of Advocate/Burson-Marsteller in Greece, through 10+1 texts encompassing the 30+ years of experience of its CEO, Maria Lazarimou, along with special quotes and texts by people drawn from the company’s network, stakeholders and clients. With the aim of planning a premium, celebratory production and emphasis on the content, the design focuses on bridging the past and the future through vintage typography and minimalist custom illustrations. Although it is an anniversary edition, the design used no photography at all and placed all emphasis on the context and the people. Therefore, a kind of a personal memoir of the CEO was created, using the colour coding of a traditional schoolbook and underlining the company’s future orientation through an overall minimal and predominantly typographical approach. The edition had a print run of 1,000 copies and was distributed exclusively through the agency’s network.
The special edition anniversary book scores primarily with its plain yet consistently designed appearance. The graphics and binding are highly elaborate and, together with the posters and folders of extraordinary tactile quality, the book possesses a self-contained and distinctively unique charm.
