Published by a bowel cancer foundation, this book aims to encourage readers to undergo cancer screenings and to raise general awareness of this cancer form. With this in mind, the book has been divided into three sections, each with a different design. Every part has been assigned a symbol: the colon as a punctuation mark stands for “Listen”, quotation marks stand for “Talk” and the exclamation mark for “Act”. This triad describes both the work of the foundation and the process one undergoes when dealing with the topic of bowel cancer.
