Named after the year the Allianz insurance group was founded, 1890, this iPad knowledge magazine offers anything but dry insurance data. Revolving around culture and science, the app utilises many of the iPad’s unique features to deliver the magazine’s content. Videos and picture galleries enhance the articles, while special features such as interactive personality tests add a certain degree of playfulness. Both the imaginative layout and the multi-dimensional navigation, which enables users to swipe through the content, do away with the conventions of print magazines.
