Playing Cards

2013 Chinese New Year of Snake

Back

Designed for the Chinese New Year, the most important festival for the Chinese people, this set of playing cards promotes a special kind of celebration. The cards aim to give luck to people who seek to take a “big lead” in the New Year. Both the design and the game concept visualise the Year of the Snake 2013. Thus, the playing card set is wrapped in tracing paper with a snakeskin texture and displays a semi-transparent effect. When the wrapper is pulled off, it reveals a paper envelope with a snake-like graphic pattern. The peeling off of a snakeskin implies regeneration in Chinese culture.
