Since Rimowa’s introduction of the aluminium suitcase in 1937, the high-quality series has been accompanying discerning travellers around the globe. In order to celebrate its 80th anniversary and to emphasise the product’s position as the original aluminium suitcase, a promotional campaign was developed which authentically spoke about the case’s character and heritage. Based on the belief that wear and tear as well as travel stickers tell individual stories, the cases of lifelong Rimowa users were photographed for a poster campaign. Additionally, a brand film documents the suitcase’s genesis from being raw material to becoming a trusted companion in order to communicate its enduring im-portance to those who use and make it.
