This magazine series is a somewhat philosophical approach that takes advantage of the physical features of paper and is inspired by the unique, high-pitched, light sound of paper. The magazines conjure the changes and sounds of nature through three approaches: “The Apple Tree and the Apple”, which is suggestive of the anecdote about Isaac Newton’s theory of gravitation; the sounds and landscapes found in the woods in “The Race of the Tortoise and the Hare”; and also familiar sounds and images in “The Signs for Public Restrooms”. Each page can be torn along the perforated line.
