With the aim to increase brand recognition for the ARD Media Library – especially with younger target audiences – and to provide viewers with a new form of perception, two viral spots were made. Popular and famous German TV shows such as Tatort or Tagesschau turn into vivid interpretations of characters on the computer, fostering a whole new level of self-promotion and irony. With the click of the mouse, colourful and lively characters come to life, allowing viewers to experience a humorous and playful world counterbalancing the seriousness of everyday life. The communities were surprised by the youthful and modern presentation of the venerable ARD channel.
