The packaging design for Caiaffa wines represents a tribute to nature and insects, which are an essential part of the synergistic agriculture method. The insects’ ecosystem regulates the vineyard’s equilibrium, both in the subsoil and the topsoil. This connection is visualised by superimposing two labels. The upper one is a die-cut label that symbolises the tunnels dug by insects that are fundamental to micro-oxygenating the soil and facilitating a passage for the nutriment needed by the roots. The other label placed below provides a partial view of the insects living in the vineyard.
