When a shipwreck occurs, life jackets are essential rescue equipment but they can only fit one person per jacket. Connect is a life jacket that has a section that can be portioned out. When many of these split sections are pieced together via a unique connection method, they can form different kinds of floating devices for victims that are more vulnerable, such as infant, children, elderlies and anyone who is ill. The split section on its own can also be used as a lifebuoy.
Connect is convenient, practical and provides many probable rescue responses to disasters at sea. This redesign of the traditional life jacket also effectively improves the functionalities. To use, simply separate the “to-share” section of the life jacket by releasing the clasp, then connect to another section via the same clasp to form a bigger floating device.
Connect highlights the sharing, care and cooperation between people and delivers warm thoughts to victims. Each Connect life jacket is made from EVA – a material that is biodegradable, non-toxic, odourless and environmentally friendly. The life jacket itself is tough, lightweight, flexible and easy to transport in bulk.
