The New York School of Visual Arts utilises a series of posters which has continually been in use as an important vehicle for their advertising and self-presentation since the 1950s. The posters, which in the past have been designed by designers and illustrators like Milton Glaser, Paula Scher, George Tscherny and James Victore, are displayed in the New York subway. The 2010 poster was designed by David Sandlin, a renowned painter, printmaker and cartoonist, who has published and exhibited widely in both Europe and the United States.
