DEUTSCH MAGAZINE

The redesign of DEUTSCH MAGAZINE, an international lifestyle magazine published by Art Verlag Berlin since 2003, is marked by typographic borrowings from the world of encyclopedias. The objective here was to give the magazine an independent visual character, as it is a constantly evolving reference book that redefines itself with each published issue. This edition addresses the question of what it means to be German and concludes that “German” has a different meaning for every individual and that the notion itself undergoes permanent change indefinitely. This idea served as the basis for the design concept.
