The poster campaign for the exhibition by Icelandic artist Erró at Frankfurt’s Schirn Kunsthalle during the 2011 Frankfurt Book Fair is inspired by the large-scale format of the artist’s paintings. The concept is centred on lending these collage-like scape-paintings realistic, wide-scale impact in urban space. The posters were thus produced not only in the customary poster and citylight formats but also as oversized billboards. The artist’s name is placed at the centre of each image to foster a unique collage effect together with the individual elements of the respective work of art.
