This annual report marks the beginning of a three-year concept for Giesecke und Devrient GmbH. The focus for 2012 is on the business-to-customer segment. The design concept is based on the idea of providing the reader with a look behind the scenes. The three business segments Paying, Communicating and Identity are each addressed on a double-page spread and illustrated using a situation of everyday life the customer is familiar with. The black and white photography has a particularly high-quality look. The reader is interactively introduced to the products and services behind the situations with the help of a separately opening page that is made possible by the use of a Japanese bookbinding technique and a punched perforation.
