The design of the Golf has been continuously refined and enhanced over the decades. In the process, designers have given a new edge to specific product features like the typical C pillars, the long roofline or the characteristic front and rear sections. These details also make the new Golf a more independent vehicle, while still retaining the “DNA” typical for Volkswagen. These elements include the reduced form of the grille and the look of the side windows.

Statement by the Jury

The new Golf presents itself in a progressive and modern way. Thanks to its unmistakable, brand-typical design language, however, the car renders a familiar impression.
