The Holtzbrinck School of Journalism is a leading training ground for modern business and finance journalism. To attract new trainees and also new partners, the booklet needs to capture tradition and modernity. A serif typeface for the headlines gives each chapter a strong recognisability, while a clean sans-serif typeface for the copy reflects the school’s contemporary attitude. Visual cues to classic tools, such as typewriter paper-scale markings and a quill, take turns with nods to the digital era, including slashes, iPad-like rounded corners and metallic finishing.
