The HP Envy 13 focuses on a reduction to the essentials: the conventional area for both palm rest and keyboard has been modified and the keyboard recess removed, thus lowering the system profile and raising the palm rest and keys. This makes the main areas of interaction – palm rest, touchpad and keyboard – clearly distinguishable to the user. For producing the palm rest, a new process was chosen, which lends the material depth and structure.
Statement by the Jury
The palm rest with its wood aesthetics flows harmoniously into the minimalist keyboard area and also gives the laptop an attractive and noble character.
