A redesign of the labels for two red wines by the brand Iglesia Vieja (old church) was initiated by the Spanish cooperative La Purísima. In connection with the brand name, the designers asked themselves what a modern, young church with humour could look like. Starting with the idea of telling the story of four altar boys, two motifs were developed. On the first label, the four run to the church dressed in altar boys’ vestments, which is reminiscent of the cover of the famous “Abbey Road” Beatles album. On the second label, the four happily taste the remaining altar wine after mass.
