Urban Installation
Jebudo Art Park
Situated in Jebudo, a fading island south-west of Seoul, South Korea, this public art and viewing pavilion has the purpose of making the island more attractive. It consists of six renovated, carefully placed shipping containers. Arranged in an open structure, they offer visitors the opportunity to unintentionally discover the arts inside. Breathtaking panoramic views of the landscape outside are created by blurring the boundaries between the arts and nature. The various levels and positions of the six containers provide a wide spectrum of different views of the sea, beach and sky. Framed by the containers, viewers are given the impression that they are experiencing art.
