The Lecheng Temple is a 200-year-old site in Taichung. Introducing images of traditional Taiwanese gods, these posters focus on the spiritual background of the temple. Each poster presents one deity, which is shown in a frontal view and thus directly addresses the public. Since the motifs are embedded in dynamic lettering, the static posture of the figures is harmoniously balanced. Thanks to some grotesquely exaggerated features, the pictures also have an entertaining effect. The unique imagery serves to make the religious content more accessible, especially to young people.
