The design of the “Lim teanote” pop-up store, which is located in the National Taichung theatre in Taiwan, centres on promoting a connection between tea and music. Formally bringing the concept of “tea melody” onto the store’s counter and display shelves, the shelf layer has been designed like a puzzle that can be disassembled easily and relocated quickly. The layout of the curved counter and shelf have adopted the shape of an ear. This visualises the experience of listening to music being played in the theatre and invites people to enjoy it as a romantic setting filled with both music and the fragrance of tea. The display shelf, from the right side of the counter to the left, is gradually “transforming” into a sheet of music.
