The Mac mini is, at first glance, recognisable as representing a new generation in this product line. As compared to the compact computer first released in January 2005, its shape has been modified only marginally, but the housing leaves no doubt that the unit has been completely refurbished. The top feature is the device’s unibody chassis machined from one single piece of aluminium, giving the computer unmistakable aesthetics and a quality of robustness suitable for everyday use. Despite its small dimensions, the Mac mini is a full-fledged computer with numerous interface ports. Via the newly integrated HDMI port, it is possible, for example, to display content on a TV set in HD quality. The unit also includes an SD card slot as well as ports for network connection, USB, FireWire and audio components. In comparison to the predecessor model, the graphics performance capacity has been doubled so that graphic-intensive games and programs can be run more efficiently. The computer supports up to 8 GB of internal memory, enabling the user to more comfortably work with several programs simultaneously.
