Man muss ein Spiel auch lesen können Reading the Game
For the 2014–15 season, the principal sponsors of Borussia Dortmund, Evonik, decided to invite a group of writers – the German Football Association National Writer’s Side – to accompany the Bundesliga team. The outcome was a paean to the club known as BVB, illustrated in its trademark black-yellow colour scheme and featuring pieces by well-known authors such as Thomas Brussig. In the course of the year, the writers take a literary look at the various dimensions of the game, leading the reader on a journey through this exciting season, cheering, celebrating, and suffering with the club. “Reading the Game” was released as a bookstore edition and in an Evonik corporate version.
