In “Men at work” Dutch photographer Thijs Heslenfeld shows men from all over the world in their working environment. He portrays his subjects just as they are: proud and authentic, regardless of what they wear or what they do. The question raised by each of these images: “Is a man’s identity based on his work, or is it the other way around?” The book design is simple, straightforward and a bit rugged – like the men portrayed – with the unfinished spine adding to the atmosphere of a project “under construction”.
