MIR – Street Children

“MIR – Street Children” was developed for the youth centre Ostrowok, which has been providing alternative prospects to Russian street children for many years. This online game reflects reality within the Russian Federation, where alcoholism and violence are everyday occurrences within many families. Children caught in such destructive environments often see no other option than to run away from home. One of the main intentions of the game is to recruit young volunteers to support the project. The game has spread virally through the Internet and can be downloaded for free.
