The Peking Opera, known as the quintessence of Chinese culture today, offers a special form of traditional Chinese theatre that combines music, vocal performance, dance, mime and acrobatics. The hand-shadowed eye in this new brand icon can be interpreted as the eye of a leading lady and also as a classic hand gesture in opera. It illustrates an opera actress who has completely thrown herself into the play, with her deep, mysterious eyes representing classic, traditional Chinese opera. The featured colours of black, white and red reflect the three basic hues found in opera.
