In China, access to good education resources are often concentrated in its bigger cities such as Beijing and Shanghai. Students in smaller and remote regions have to rely on traditional models of online education, through mediums such as QQ or WeChat, which allow for limited functionalities.
The Terminal invention enables quality remote learning by delivering real-time “face to face” capability to students and teachers, and enabling interactions via both the vertical and face cameras. The vertical camera conveys writing, illustrations or any other visual aids to the other user, while the face camera captures the user’s facial expressions and allows for more engaging interaction. Screenshot captures, and collaborative work on the screenshots, also streamline learning processes.
